Single Transaction Customs Bond (STB) fees are based on the value of imported goods. There are 2 main calculation methods for setting the bond amounts. The first is for a formal consumption entry with no other government agency requirements other than US Customs. This method calculates the bond amount at (Entered value of goods + duties, taxes and fees).
Example: Entered value of goods is $5000, duties and fees are $1000. The customs bond amount will be set at ($5000 + $1000 = $6000)
