On November 2, 2013, US Customs and Border Protection successfully (CBP) deployed Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Deployment A, the first deployment of new ACE functionality developed using the Agile development methodology. Deployment A included new ACE Cargo Release enhancements; implementation of PGA Message Set features to support upcoming pilots with the Environmental Protection Agency and Food Safety and Inspection Service; and new Entry Summary Validations for tariff classification and Harbor Maintenance Fees.
